Community Practice
This course introduces concepts, theories and methods associated with social work practice in
communities with an emphasis on the process of community organizing, strategies such as social
action, advocacy and understanding the role and function of the community social worker
working in tandem with vulnerable populations.
Prerequisite: SK211, SK212, SK221, SK223 and Year
3 status in the Bachelor of Social Work program.
